Originally designed and developed in Germany, under the guidance of Prof R Baumgart, it has been used in thousands of cases successfully.

The nail is telescopic in nature and the lengthening mechanism relies on an electric motor which is powered intermittently through a wireless interface.

By using internal lengthening methods, the complications and discomfort related to external fixation devices are bypassed, resulting in a more comfortable lengthening journey.
